/please/ (Ellen Davies) has released her debut full length, .2., a follow up to her amazing self titled EP released earlier this year.
What we’re presented with in .2. is a beautiful collection of hazy, swirling synthesizers and dreamy tones. Ranging from slow guitar strums to echoed percussion and airy synths, .2. features the perfect range of sounds and textures while maintaining a common theme; an emotional direction that the album carries and follows. Ellen’s vocals continue to lie beneath the tracks, with a soft delivery and almost vague sound to them, blending in with the instrumentation and becoming one with the music. Everything contributes to a greater atmosphere as beautiful worlds are crafted in each song. .2. proves to be a release that you can simply live in. Allowing you to absorb every feeling and sound, Ellen’s created something more than an album here. She’s created a home.
